Nano is a 2D puzzle platformer I created with a team for a Game Design class I am currently taking. My role on the team was lead artist. I created concept art, established the story and theme, designed characters and environments, and made animations and sprites for the game. The main art theme I was going for was a “biopunk” style in which gears and clockwork are combined with biological and cellular appearances.
The gameplay occurs inside a large robot, Micro, who has been infected with a virus. You play as a team of smaller robots, Nano and Pico, who must work together to restart Micro’s heart and destroy the viruses living within Micro.
